Congrats to our U-16 boys who defeated Castleconnor in the B Championship Final on Saturday last. The tubber lads got off to a great start and found themselves 1-5 to no score with only 20 minutes gone in the first half, however two quick goals from Castleconnor brought them right back into the game just before half time. With just a two point lead at the interval Tubber had it all to do in the second half. The second half was evenly contested with Tubber holding the upper hand. All players were doing very well and Tubber were settled with a goal in the first ten minutes. The turning point of the half was an excellent reflex save by Ross McCarrick followed by a penalty save. The team were driven on by this and finished 3-8 to 3-3 winners. This was an excellent team performance and all players/subs are to be congratulated. The future looks bright.
Thanks to the management and all those involved, the hard work paid off.
